History:
The museum is housed in Casa Verdades de Faria, an elegant early 20th century residence inspired by traditional Portuguese architecture. Opened in 1994, the museum preserves and celebrates Portugal's rich musical heritage through collections dedicated to composers, performers, and historic instruments. Among its highlights are the personal piano of composer Fernando Lopes Graça and several rare instruments that reflect the evolution of Portuguese music over the centuries.
